Congratulations to GWC’s Own Kathy Behringer!
We are beyond proud to celebrate one of our very own—Council Member Kathy Behringer, who was named the 2025 Woman of the Year at the She Achieves Women’s Conference, hosted by the Garner Chamber of Commerce.
Kathy’s leadership and service to the Town of Garner are unmatched. For more than a decade, she has served as the Town’s liaison to the Downtown Garner Association, championing revitalization efforts and community growth. In 2024, she founded the Public Arts Committee to bring her long-standing vision for vibrant, accessible public art to life.
Her dedication also shines through her involvement with the Garner Woman’s Club. Kathy played a key role in securing the historic designation of our clubhouse, a milestone achievement that earned the club the prestigious Anthemion Award from Capital Area Preservation.
Women from across Town departments joined in honoring her at the event—an inspiring day filled with connection, leadership, and celebration.
